An unusual opening has appeared in the water of the English Channel.

Jack Kelvin is sent to investigate.His mission, backed by the UKgovernment, is to debunk inexplicable phenomena: to prove that the mysteries are always man made.

In another part of the country something sinister lurks beneath the earth. Once revealed it has the power to alter the future and re-write the past.
